Following an acquisition, the company's retired devices remained enrolled in the previous organization's mobile device management system. The prior company was unresponsive to removal requests, making software-based data destruction impossible. Most vendors quoted disposal fees.

Renoo removed and physically destroyed all logic boards, documenting the process with certificates of destruction. The remaining components (displays, housings, keyboards) retained resale value and were refurbished for resale. Pickup was provided at no cost.

The company received $1,200 for devices they expected to pay to dispose of, along with complete destruction documentation for compliance purposes.
